Hey, this is Manuel.
I'm 27 years old and a fun fact most people don't know about me is that, growing up, I lived in a lot of different places. New York, Shanghai, Bangkok and Hamburg, amongst others.
A few years ago, I was working at a renowned advertising agency. I had just finished college and was finding my feet in my first job. At some point, I watched a YouTube video about Facebook Ads. It made me curious, and I wanted to learn more. So I asked my boss if the company could pay for some in-depth Training. I would then use that training to help get new clients. My boss was old-fashioned and, believing that traditional marketing methods were more effective, she declined.
This didn't phase me, however. As an avid self learner, I went about teaching myself all I needed through YouTube videos. Soon after, I took the exam required to obtain the Meta Digital Marketing Associate Certificate, and passed.
I went back to my boss, and, impressed by my demeanor, she gave me a small budget of $300 per month to play around with Facebook ads, a fraction of the total marketing budget. Three months later, I was bringing in three high quality leads per month, and it quickly became our best performing lead generation channel.
Around 2021, I realized paid ads was what I wanted to do and started working at a Google Ads agency. For two years, I was part of a small team managing ads for 38 different clients across various industries. It was a disaster. I quickly learned that what works for one type of business doesn't necessarily work for another. Despite this, my boss would often ask me to use the same strategies across the board. I had had enough. Something needed to change.
Seeing these strategies fail in different niches made it clear to me: each client needs a unique approach tailored to their specific industry and audience. This experience taught me the importance of customization in Google Ads, a principle I now apply to every client I work with.
Around the same time, one of my best friends had become a realtor. He was always telling me about his experience with lead quality running Facebook ads. I realized he wasn't the only one - a lot of realtors were having this issue. So having learned my lesson at the agency, my sole focus has now become solving one of realtors' biggest problems:
Lead Quality.
I love Paid Ads, and I love everything about my business. I can proudly say that I still do it all myself to this day: The ad setup, the ad management, the sales - none of it is outsourced.
